PRESIDENT’S CHOICE — The 1957 Chevrolet 210 owned by Robert Minton of Wilkesboro was awarded the President’s Choice trophy at the 21st Annual Apple City Street Rodders Car and Truck Show on May 10, 2014. Above, Street Rodders President Roy Bentley (left) presents the award to Minton.

BEST ORIGINAL — The “Best Original” entry in the 21st Annual Apple City Street Rodders Car and Truck Show on May 10, 2014, went to Bob Fortner (right), of Taylorsville, for his 1950 Ford. The trophy was presented by Street Rodders President Roy Bentley (left).

 

 

   


BEST OF SHOW—Gwyn Wallace (above center), of Hickory, and his 1957 Chevrolet won Best of Show at the 21st Annual Apple City Street Rodders Car and Truck Show on May 10, 2014. The award was presented by Street Rodders President Roy Bentley (left) and special guest Rex White, 1960 NASCAR champion.


DOYLE DANIELS MEMORIAL AWARD—The Doyle Daniels Memorial Award at the 21st Annual Apple City Street Rodders Car and Truck Show on May 10, 2014, was presented to Bill Cline of Claremont for his 1935 Ford pickup. Doyle Daniels’ family members presented the award and are pictured above, left to right: Whitney Daniels (son), holding Wade Daniels (grandson), Karrigan Daniels (granddaughter), Diane Daniels (widow), Dixie Daniels (granddaughter), Bill Cline, Sarah Daniels (daugher-in-law), holding Waylon Daniels (grandson).
 

BEST CLUB AWARD—At the 21st Annual Apple City Street Rodders Car and Truck Show on May 10, 2014, the Best Club trophy went to Blue Ridge Street Rodders of Wilkesboro, which had nine vehicles in the Taylorsville show. Pictured above, left to right: Apple City President Roy Bentley presents the trophy to Blue Ridge President Terry Wingerson.

PEOPLE’S CHOICE — Wesley Lackey, of Taylorsville, won both People’s Choice and Best Rat Rod at the 21st Annual Apple City Street Rodders Car and Truck Show on May 10, 2014, for his 1930 Ford Model A sedan. Street Rodders President Roy Bentley (left) hand the trophy to Lackey (right).
   

LADIES’ CHOICE — Chris Meadows, of Taylorsville, won the Ladies’ Choice award for his 1968 Chevy Camaro at the 21st Annual Apple City Street Rodders Car and Truck Show on May 10, 2014.
